ABSTRACT
The Cason Institute is an orphanage located in the central region of Cameroon, more precisely in the Yaoundé VIth district in the new nkoldongo road district behind the EEC church. It was created in March 2006 to welcome, house and supervise a varied workforce for a total of 45 places including orphans, abandoned children, street children, the needy, internally displaced persons and children suffering from mental disorders or affected. of a disability. They are generally placed under a mixed regime (boarding school and day school) by MINAS under the supervision of a boarder and a listening director, notably Father JEAN and Mama CHANTALE. CASON offers a school education and assists these children morally, physically and materially. Its primary objective is the reintegration of these children into their original family settings. However, we note shortcomings in this institution to carry out their work through the clarifications made of their request: that of a physical space; for a few years work has been undertaken in the CASON institution with the aim of providing dormitories which would separate the two genders on the one hand and on the other hand a space for the creation of a training center in computer science and sewing which would benefit to empower and empower these children; there is also a request for the attic, it appears that despite the souls of good will, the fact remains that this institution suffers from food insecurity and unbalanced nutrition. Hama Foundation felt concerned to meet the need for broad-spectrum CASON insofar as we are a relay institution for institutions that do not have enough capacity and according to our orientations for well-being and bio-psycho-social support. of the vulnerable person in an institution. Therefore, We have identified other issues beyond those expressed by CASON:
- An approach without tools in the care of staff and the absence of psychological support for children with trauma due to abuse and mental disorders.
- Lack of health assistance
- Lack of schooling for children (mostly girls)
- Lack of basic bedding (beds, duvets, sheets)
- Lack of leisure (educational play areas)
- Lack of educational guidance for teenagers and projection of debauchery from certain areas of work.
Purposes
✅ Bring tools and tips to the institution to better frame children and teenagers.
✅ Provide advice for a positive and conscious education of the children and adolescents of this institution.
✅ Promote the autonomy and responsibility of the children and adolescents of this institution
✅ Strengthen the attitudes, skills and abilities of children and adolescents in this institution
✅ Promote the development and adaptation of children and adolescents in this institution and intervene effectively when problems arise.

THE ORPHELINA CASON
The course of the activity program is carried out in a friendly atmosphere, in particular the climatic conditions which have delayed the effective start of the activities, the HAMA FOUNDATION team has deployed relentlessly to make this descent into the Cason orphanage.
According to the missions and objectives set by the members of HAMA FOUNDATION, they went to this private center of a social nature created since 2006, the structure “Cason Orphanage” is apolitical and non-profit. It welcomes young children from 5 to 16 years old without distinction of race, tribe, religion and sex.
It is therefore this vulnerable target population due to their status as orphans placed in institutions that the HAMA FOUNDATION team took an interest and deployed in order to put a smile on their face and provide assistance to the management team of the Cason orphanage.
Mention of the opening

Return of Consultations 🩺
Taking into account the aforementioned average age, HAMA FOUNDATION reached a target audience of 50 children thanks to psychosocial activities, we were able to redecorate the living environment of these young children in a warm atmosphere under the coordination and the involvement of all the staff present that day, the children and the administrative staff were able to show their gratitude. The consultations carried out were able to record a few cases of children
Medical.
Medical consultations
On the medical level, some children have teething problems (04 including 3 boys and 1 girl) numerous complaints of stomach ache .
During our visit, it was obvious that the hygiene and sanitation conditions within the orphanage were not optimal. We were nevertheless able to carry out the consultations to their conclusion and several observations were made.
The most frequent diseases were malaria, intestinal parasitosis and dental caries.
The oral hygiene of the residents of the orphanage was not satisfactory.
Visual acuity disorders also caught our attention − Weaknesses.
Absence of a pharmacy box with essential drugs.
Lack of long-acting impregnated mosquito nets (MILDA).
Surroundings of the orphanage unsanitary, conducive to the proliferation of plasmodium − Proposals for solutions.
Help in the preparation of a medicine box with medicines and essential equipment to be able to carry out basic care (wounds, burns, etc.)
Make the orphanage aware of the importance of sleeping under LLINs and having a clean and healthy living environment.
Teaching residents about the need for good food and oral hygiene.
Psychological Consultations
The psychological consultations recorded 04 children including 3 boys and 1 girl, among the latter, we diagnosed one (1) child with Down syndrome, (1) suffering from deaf-mutism subject to an ENT consultation ( does not speak, does not hear well, slow in movement, communicates by slow gestures) and two (2) children of the same refugee siblings of Chadian nationality who are fixated on their mother their only desire is to find their mother, this state of the situation generates in them a social withdrawal, loss of all interest in carrying out a temporary activity, consequently developing a feeling of abandonment.
